Education

An important part of growing up is education. In the modern age it’s pretty much unavoidable, especially in the United Kingdom. Now as a young adult you have a small amount of control over the extent and depth of your education, whether to stay on after secondary school or get an apprenticeship, go to university, get a masters or just study at home long enough that you’re just amazingly brilliant at something.

For some reason I decided that it would be a good idea to go the university route. Choosing Nottingham Trent University, formally a polytechnic, I now have a fuck off massive group of economic students around me who all want my job. We’re getting the same education and the same degree and I’m getting myself into £30,000 debt. This is all well and good, anyone who does any form of charity work will tell you (over and over and over…) that education is incredibly important, goes a long way and is generally undervalued.

This, coupled with the fact my chosen career path at this moment actually involves fuck-off long hours and barely any down time. I’m starting to doubt how much time I will ever have to dedicate to this website. I will however strive to keep it going as long as I can. Domain names are cheap and Tumblr is awesome. Writing here isn’t particularity hard it just takes time. Time is something that education is very good at gobbling up.

Posting Update/Writing News

Over the last couple days I’ve had a couple relatively good days when it comes to writing. I hadn’t written too much, which probably stemmed from having no creativity at all when it came to finding a subject to talk about. Well I found a fairly big topic which has given my mind a little focus. Yes, I know, people hate when I talk about it but: Apple. They released a whole new generation of iPod’s and it’s given me quite a bit to talk about. I’ve been talking.

A fairly full post on the iPod Shuffle and its generational change, I think. I’ve written two on the iPod Touch and have two left to write. I think they’ve been written quite well and have started towards giving a clear overview of the products and their interesting features. I am messing around with an idea for an iPod Nano but this is proving harder to organise as an actual readable post. To mix it up a bit I’ve also got a really cool show I’ve written about for tomorrow I’m hoping people will read. It’s not really got much in the way of critical review; or any attention at all for that matter. I’m hoping I can bring a little light to the show with my post. I’m not too sure I will increase their audience size too much but it’s something I can do to help. Originally I hoped to have this posted by Saturday but decided to bring it forward as to give more people time to know it’s actually on.

Anyway, that’s all for now when concerning my writing process a little, I basically decided to write this up to sorta’ give people an idea of what I’m thinking. Know that I do want to keep www.66Seven.co.uk active and that I am thinking about what to get written. Also as this site was getting a tad neglected of my own stuff, I felt obligated to update it as I’m doing so with the other more so.

If only God would give me some clear sign! Like making a large deposit in my name in a Swiss bank.

The right sorta’ request if you ask me.

Life Update

I now have a certificate and a diploma in Financial Studies. Not too sure if that gives me any credibility but if so, I think your finances would benefit by becoming my finances. Thanks.

I’m still working towards my BTEC in Business but I’m close. I’ve actually technically reached the requirements for the highest grade but I’m a perfectionist. Getting every single unit to the highest mark, it seems kind off stupid to me now but I’m sure I’ll look back in annoyance if I don’t.

Post that, I’ve got about four months spare before I’m going to move and my entire life will change. I’m going to put a big amount of time into keeping the websites up and operational. I’m probably going to have to put more focus into getting a job and improving my finances before the move.

And that brings me back to the first paragraph. I’m sure stuff’ll change soon enough but there’s a big possibility that it won’t until those four months are up. Felt like I needed to post something here though, hence this.
