New Doctor Who Theme
No one seems to have mentioned anything about the fact that Doctor Who did not only receive a new Doctor but also a new theme tune. I didn’t talk too much about the new series so never had the chance to bring it up but I figure that it’s worth a mention.
A new (rather hot) companion; a total red redhead babe with awesome short skirts. Amy Pond can be slightly annoying at times but still a rather nice part of the show. I was really unsure as to how Karen Gillan would turn out and was worried beforehand that she’d just be an actress better suited for skins. I’m actually rather impressed with her performance thus far. Although I am somewhat unsure as to the future of the character, I do like how she’s written and the actress have used what has been given to her quite well.
The Doctor, there’s been a lot said about this new actor. Matt Smith is quite good, the writing is slightly dodgy at times but at others it’s fairly good. I’ll not write too much here as many people have written a lot about Mr. Smith. He’s generally gone over quite well with the British audience, although I can’t say much for the international reception. I like him, he’s a bit dodgy at times but there’s no one else I’d rather be the Doctor. Except for maybe Eccleston again.
